Expression of Interest - Public & Private Schools

Workshop dates are open for 2020;  Term 2, 3 and 4.   

Queensland Cheese Artisan provides ONSITE Hands-on fermentation workshops for school groups of all grades, at their own school.  We can specifically tailor programs work to maximize your school goals.  This includes

  • Senior year curriculum 'Science in Practice Applied Senior Syllabus'; food technology
  • Secondary Junior and senior years – Food technology elective classes
  • Primary years
  • Special  needs

Fermentation workshops can include sourdough, cheese-making, fermented vegetables or fermented drinks. 

Susan understands the impact of regional disadvantage in some of our regional/rural schools and how this effects our student opportunities.  Her aim is to provide schools with opportunities to develop an awareness of how fermented foods and drinks are made, by providing practical food technology skills, in a easy, convenient, fun and interactive way.  Whilst promoting students capacity for creativity and collaborative learning.
